Ilcsi Beauty Manufactury belongs to a family-run business specializing in all-natural products crafted from a wide selection of plant-based ingredients and sold both in Hungary and internationally. The site occupies an over 100-year-old civilian tenement house in the heart of Buda, at the foot of the castle, where the architectural concept plays on the contrast between the building's raw, brutalist character and simple wood-and-plexiglass boxes, creating a dynamic yet harmonious atmosphere.

After stripping away deteriorated structures and unnecessary fittings, the original high-ceilinged, elongated space was revealed, then designed to balance intimacy with a hall-like openness. Devoted to female beauty—hairdressing, massage, manicure, pedicure, facial treatments, and an ILCSI sample store—the complex program is organized through linear, wood-and-plexiglass function boxes forming a "house in a house," each accessible from both sides and calibrated to its required privacy, from an open salon to an enclosed massage room. Afternoon sun from Vérmező sweeps the façade and flows through large glass surfaces, past a sunken indoor garden of ILCSI's own plants, into the reception and showroom—an inner world where visitors emerge rejuvenated.
